Alas, that special day has come and gone. I managed to come out of the weekend with some chocolate still left in the heart shaped box. Mr. didn't eat it all, and neither did I. I will admit telling on him when the opportunity presented itself. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the previous story of his dastardly deed.)
I think he felt a little remorseful as gave me a Valentine Day card on Saturday. Of course, it still wasn't Valentine's Day. Again, he insisted that I open it immediately... shades of the candy episode the night before.
I decided that he just wanted to keep the celebration going and was spreading out the joy. He did take me to a wonderful candlelight dinner that was being sponsored by his church. It was very nice and special. We had a good time, and I'll admit that it did set the mood for those lovey feelings that I think might be lurking somewhere amid the Valentine trappings.
By the way, I did give him a special Valentine Day card. I even managed to give it to him on Valentine's Day. I also bought him a little present that was something useful that he needed. (Pat on the back for me!... smile... smile) I must admit that I gave it to him the day before Valentine's Day. You see.. he is rubbing off on me. I just couldn't wait to give him his present.
I think I'm going to have to work up to the next Valentine's Day and see if I can't plan better for it. I have to admit that I probably wasn't as into the whole thing as I should have been. I can site Mr. for some of his deeds, but think I'll have to own up to a lack of organization of my own on this one. I think I'm glad it's over and I'll look forward to it again. Tah Dah.
