We made a short rest stop in Cadillac, MI. One of our tour members had a friend who lives in the area, and they met up for a brief visit. The friend suggested a scenic way out of town, and we were treated to driving past some beautiful dairy and farm land. We noticed some cows in the pasture that look a lot like Oreo cookies. Well... Oreo cookies are great with milk, and these are milk cows.
It was nice to have a dairy man and farmer aboard our tour bus. You get more information that way. It turns out that these Oreo cows are Belted Galloways, an English breed that is rather scarce around here. I don't think I've ever seen any before. They are rather cute, wouldn't you say?
